I am getting a posterior and anterior spinal fusion in a month with Dr Bruffey! I am nervous as heck! He did great work on my grandpas back , looks after my mom for her back issues, so I know I am in good hands with Dr Bruffey! Green Hospital stay. (Comments I wrote in notepad and scribbled on a comment card when leaving after my 11/29/23 surgery) I can’t believe how enjoyable my stay was at ‘Hotel Green’. I Everyone there was smiling which forced me to smile back. It is a good sign of a very well run operation where workers know the system and their jobs so there aren’t any conflicts. Food service was also fast and wonderful. This past year I want thru 3 very painful procedures Chemo/Radiation, Biopsy and Folfox Chemo. I truly expected my APR surgery / recovery to also be very painful but it was really many level less painful than other procedures. Mostly just a little Tylenol and not much pain. Lucky me. Everyone that I dealt with during recovery was wonderful, professional and really nice. They were always there when I needed them which is good when you have to pee. I got a rash on my face from something and my nurse (Peter) quickly got some cream to fix it. I am so grateful that nurses and aids gave me some of there time to go for a walk. I forget the names of my first nurse/assistant but we had a good 4 loop walk at 10pm and 5am the first day. I am a bit chatty so it was nice talking story (Hawaiian phrase) with them. I also had 3 or 4 walks with Reginamarie and 2 or 3 with Esaias and a few with Dani who is also super nice. I told my room cleaner Amairany that Scripps must screen people based on how nice they are. I really was lucky to get Kandance for a few nights. Lucky me. I truly believe that I wouldn’t have lived long in Las Vegas and Scripps, the “Hotel Green crew” and especially Dr Weston saved my life. I couldn’t get a 30 yr warranty on the surgery but I have good genes so I expect to be able to take care of my parrot Nicki until I am 100 yrs old. Big Smiles Everyone ! Gary Trowbridge

It brings tears to my eyes hearing the comments from Dr Weston. She mentions her rectal focus and how many people with IBD (Chrons, Colitis) can be seriously ill and the surgeries are complex, plus it is rewarding to help people get back to their lives. My surgery on 11/29/23 was an APR for Rectal cancer but it is similar to what many IBD patients might call a Barbie Butt surgery on UA-cam which includes an ostomy bag for waste. To learn about an ostomy and mentally prep for surgery I did lots of research. Maggie’s UA-cam videos (LetsTalkIBD) were helpful. I believe she got an ostomy at age 14 or 16 and about 10 years later had her Barbie B surgery. I only had a year of pain and I am old (70) while many IBD patients are young with many years of pain and discomfort which is why Dr Weston’s IBD focus makes me teary eyed. Dr Weston is a fantastic surgeon in addition to being a great communicator describing your options and carefully listening to what you say. We gathered tons of info before we decided to do my surgery and I trust her 100%. My recovery from surgery was easier than my wildest dreams and better than anything that I researched. The support of the Scripps system is also a big benefit. Everything works perfectly and on schedule at Scripps. They make it so easy for us patients. My GI Navagator nurses ( Kimi and Carol) were super helpful in acquiring information before my visit with Dr. Weston. I also saw Renee several times for ostomy info and support. I was setup with 2 nurses from a different company who came to our AirBnB twice a week while I recovered . My neighbor in Las Vegas has been going to Scripps for 25 or 30 yrs. I now understand why. Scripps is great !!!

My heartbeat during an op recently on my hand was 38-43bpm and 97% oxygen with I quite the surgeon a text book blood pressure I can't remember the exact numbers. The heart rate monitor kept setting of an alarm was a little concerning but I felt fine

I absolutely love and trust Dr. Longoria. She's the best doctor I've ever had, a wonderful communicator and most of all a loving person🥰❤🎉 Also, I got the very best care at Scripps - that orginization is outstanding.

My resting heart rate has been low for many years, down to 35 is common - like today. No problem with that.

Mine started with pain in my lower back and I thought it was just because of the over stretching in yoga. Rash developed a week after.

Also beware of hemochromatosis. It goes undiagnosed all the time. It took my Doctors 8 years to figure out it was responsible for multiple health issues. I had a heart attack with no obvious cause. Prevalent in people with Northern European heritage.

I have a congenital heart defect as a baby (surgically corrected) a swell as an irregular heartbeat. I don’t ever feel dizzy or anything. But my watch says when I fall asleep I go down to 38 bpm. But through the day I’m 60-70 bpm

I've experienced ibs and chronic gerd for about ren years. It' could be very devastàting . I just keep trying herbs and more herbs. J find ginger apple cider vinegar and honey works for me. I also do my fiber on a daily basis. Plenty yogurt and berries and figs.

Don’t we all love how the internet is filled with so much misinformation about trying to lose weight. You got many UA-camrs who claim to know all this information and claim to be doctors, but it’s misinformation. I’m glad SCRIPPS actually has a legitimate, scholarly verified information. Thank you!

While you give out helpful information I I don't hear anything about insurance especially if you are in an HMO. You can have limited options especially if you are in a rural area or you might have to take that 45 minute to hour drive to find a provider in their network. In my circumstance the closest providers to me were the same clinic with 3 different brances in my area. My former clinic went to a higher level of care cost wise so couldn't afford to kerp them. How is this considered a choice? Otherwise you have to take that longer drive time. Asking for a recommendation from others when they have established care for a longer period of time can also not be useful. Doctors like this usually have full patient loads and aren't taking new patients. So you get stuck with who is available. This can range from someone nobody wants to someone who is brand new or the idiot resident. All in all not good choices. Luckily I only go to the doctor when it's absolutly necessary. I also stopped having yearly physicals once I was through menopause and stopped needing HRT. I was lucky to have been established with a good Ob/Gyn from the start when that happened. My insurance lets me choose as long as its in their provider network.

I had bariatric/Gastro bypass from Dr William, Fuller in 2011. It’s now 2024 and I could not be happier, especially with this doctor other people that I know have had complications because of the lack of knowledge their doctor provided I am so very committed to Dr William, Fuller and would recommend, him number one and for any other doctor I would be very careful! Give Dr William, Fuller as I have known him for so many years he’s all so done a couple different surgeries for me… Other than bariatrics. That also has turned out to be very successful and I don’t have to worry about any of these other things now thank you, Dr William, Fuller, for changing my life!!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Dr. Uddin seems to be a very good heart doctor. I need a doctor like her with that level of care. 😊

I love how your straight to the point and there's no BS in between pretty simple eat unprocessed foods add some exercise in between. I am trying to stick to just 3 meals a day. With a 5KM walk. 2 boiled eggs for breakfast with a banana. for lunch I am having a premade weight loss replacement meal. and for dinner just a steak with some vegetables

My heartbeat reaches 200 BPM it can last hours..i faint from Hypoxia too oxygen saturation 70% ..I wouldn't be even talking or moving I'm bed ridden with sever disability.. I don't know what to do 😢
